I was told that TUg was rejected from google summer of code but as a
suggestion I thinks it is quite vauable to get some feedback from google if
we can to see why we have been rejected? what can we do so that we will
accepted in the next year ?

What has been the weeknesses of the projects? and etc.

Thank you very much for this excellent question. By the way, I was a
mentor last year, and am a TUG board member elect, taking office in the
Summer.

Here's a link to a page where Google explains its selection criteria:
<http://socghop.appspot.com/document/show/program/google/gsoc2009/orgcriteria>

I think it would be very helpful to compare ourselves, using these
criteria, with related projects who were accepted.

Here's my short list of related projects. The full list is at
<http://socghop.appspot.com/program/accepted_orgs/google/gsoc2009>

AbiWord
OpenOffice
WordPress

My long list would include all the wiki and content management projects,
because they need to handle mathematical content, and may have a need
for back-end PDF generation.

Drupal
Joomla!
MoinMoin
Moodle
TikiWiki
Xwiki

My long list would also include Pidgin (for math chat) and perhaps some
other projects.
